There’s a heavenly holy city. The key word here is heavenly. This holy city is in the highest Heaven. None of us here on Earth are in this heavenly city.

While Abraham was on Earth in ca. 1900 BC, he longed for this heavenly city. Abraham obviously knew that he was not in Heaven while he was on Earth.

There are false teachers who teach that this heavenly holy city came down to Earth in AD 70. They falsely teach that you can become a citizen in this mystical city that they say is here right now on Earth – ever since AD 70 when “Christ returned, came back, appeared, and arrived in his presence” in the first century. They falsely teach that wherever a Christian is on Earth, this is where this heavenly city and presence of Christ is at – so this mystical city is essentially the Church or Body of Christ on Earth. And they teach that the mystical presence of Christ came back the second time in the first century to dwell in this mystical city that “came down in AD 70” at how they mystically define “the second coming of Christ”.

This alleged “mystical city ever since AD 70 with a mystical Christ and a mystical Christ presence” is Occult New Age Religion. It involves both Transcendence and Ascendence through special knowledge (gnosis) from special teachers.

Yes, it’s a form of Gnosticism – where these false teachers will tell you that you can RIGHT NOW enjoy “perfection, glory, immortality, and incorruption” inside this “holy city that is now present on Earth” SEPARATE FROM having anything to do with your biological physical flesh body – which these false teachers DO NOT factor into how they define death, sin, corruption, and mortality.

For anybody who has studied cults for any length of time, it’s very obvious that this is cult language. When somebody removes the biological physical flesh body from defining death that was threatened and instituted with Adam in the beginning, YOU ARE IN CULT TERRITORY! This is akin to Eastern Mysticism and Transcendental Meditation – where your “transcending” and “ascending” is for the here and now while you’re on Earth – separate from having to do with physically dying and THEN going to an eternal state.

The thought of having literal “sins in the flesh” – as in “flesh” meaning literal “biological physical flesh bodies” is repulsive to these kind of cults! They deny one’s “sinful nature” that can be called the “carnal nature” or the “fleshly nature”. When considering “flesh” (Greek, sarx), there is the immediate connotation of biological physical flesh bodies – but there is ALSO the deeper connotation of an inherent sin nature that must be dealt with for one’s personal salvation. Like true Gnosticism, cults that don’t want to deal with “sins in the flesh” remove the biological physical flesh body from the equation concerning personal salvation. This is a SURE SIGN of a cult!

The false teachers who teach that this heavenly holy city came down from Heaven in AD 70 – and that you can get inside this mystical city that is allegedly here right now – are in a cult called Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism. The way that these cult teachers use Bible verses sounds educated and enticing, but they are leading people astray and shipwrecking faith. Of course, upon physical death these false teachers will find out the hard way that they have a false Christ and a false Gospel – and that they have led people astray and destroyed faith in people. People who are prone to Mysticism and Occult New Age Religion are drawn to the cult rhetoric in the Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism cult.

These false teachers tickle people’s ears with promises that they can never deliver on! They are “name it and claim it” – like the “Word of Faith” movement. In other words, “You don’t have to wait until you physically die! You don’t have to suffer here! You can have perfection now! Glory now! You can live your best life now! You don’t have any such thing as sins in the flesh!”

These false teachers actually claim that “sins in the flesh” is a phrase that means sins that once existed in an alleged “Old Covenant age, world, order, system, kingdom, and creation that ended in AD 70”! They consider this “Old Age” that they say ended in AD 70 to be a “realm, location, and sphere” where “sins of that Old Age” once existed. They will tell you that you are in the “New Age” ever since AD 70 – where “Old Age sins of the flesh brought on by the Law” simply cannot exist anymore! Hmmmm! If you can’t see this as Occult New Age Religion and Transcendence and Gnosticism, you better get into intensely studying cults and how cults operate!
