Once you say that an alleged “old covenant age” (or “world, order, system, kingdom, creation”) ended in the first century, and an alleged “new covenant age” (or “world, order, system, kingdom, creation”) began at that time, you joined the Max King Cult called “Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism”!
You can deny it by saying “I don’t believe what they believe about this or that”, but this “covenant age change” is the central heretical false doctrine in this cult. Whether you realize it or not, if you believe an alleged “old covenant age” ended in the first century and an alleged “new covenant age” began in the first century, you are in the Max King Cult called “Covenant Eschatology”.
Even though these heretics have a “40 year Atonement process” and a “40 year covenant change process” of this alleged “covenant change or transition between the cross and AD 70”, they also claim that this “covenant change or transition” took place in a final way in AD 70 – when the alleged “old covenant age and world” FINALLY BECAME the alleged “new covenant age and world” in AD 70.
It is BOTH a 40 year process AND a singular event! This goes for both their “40 year Atonement process” and their “40 year Resurrection process”!
These heretics equate “the Old Heaven(s) and Earth” with an alleged “old covenant age” (or “world, order, system, kingdom, creation” or “Jewish Old Testament age and world” that they claim “ended in the first century” at “the parousia of Christ” or what they say is “the second coming of Christ in the first century”.
They claim that “the New Heaven(s) and Earth” that “began in the first century” is “the new covenant age” (or “world, order, system, kingdom, creation”) that we are all living in right now – ever since “the parousia of Christ” or “the second coming of Christ in the first century” they say.
More and more “bigs shots” in 501c3 Churchianity are finally coming out of the “Max King Cult closet” with this heretical “covenant age change in the first century” false teaching, such as Doug Wilson, Gary DeMar, and Jeff Durbin. They have espoused this teaching for years, but they are now getting more bold in teaching it within what is essentially the new Postmillennialism that is gaining popularity.
To claim that “the Old Heaven and Earth” as “the old covenant age or world” ended in the first century, and that “the New Heaven and Earth” as “the new covenant age or world” began in the first century, is to then automatically be boxed into saying that the one and only second coming of Christ took place at that time in the first century! It is at the end of the Old Heaven and Earth and the beginning of the New Heaven and Earth that the second coming of Christ takes place! If this alleged “covenant heavens and earth age change” took place in the first century, then so did the second coming of Christ take place in the first century! These “big shots” in 501c3 Churchianity need to be honest about what they’re really teaching!
