The following three comments are my comments out from a discussion with Travis Drum and some of his buddies. Travis Drum is very close friends with Zach Davis, the new hotshot kid in the Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism cult. The first comment takes off from the comments in the screenshot, where I mention Don Preston’s infamous “dancing and jumping for joy” remarks for the alive saints “experiencing the coming and presence of Christ and the change to immortality in AD 70”. The bottom line is… These Max King Cult guys built their religious businesses on saying “the end time coming and presence of Jesus Christ took place in the first century”, yet they don’t want to very simply answer “In what form and nature did Jesus Christ appear in his end time coming and presence in the first century?” For such a momentous and glorious event, all we get is “It was metaphoric.” Is this really acceptable for defining such a magnificent event in the Bible as the end time coming, appearing, arriving, and presence of the Lord Jesus Christ?! Here’s my three comments addressing these cult members who have now aligned themselves with Zach Davis and his spin on the heretical Max King framework that he adopted. (I added one more of my comments at the end of the first three. This is the comment I made that began this discussion, as I was trying to warn somebody who shared a video from Zach Davis.)
They have everything to do with you. You are a Covenant Eschatology Full Preterist. Max King began this cult in 1971. Max King created both “the corporate body view” of “the body of the Resurrection” and the heresy that there was a purported “old covenantal age and world” that “changed into” a purported “new covenantal age and world” over a “40 year process between the cross and AD 70”. Max King was a very charismatic churches of Christ minister who directly taught his heresy to some other churches of Christ ministers by the name of Don Preston, Ed Stevens, William Bell, Larry Siegle, and Jack Scott. It was Don, Ed, and William who took Max King’s heresy to the streets. The 1990’s saw some Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism conferences that had some success attached to them. Then things died down for nearly 20 years. Both “Covenant Creation” and “Israel Only” came out of the early 2000’s. The founder of this cult, Max King, took on both Universalism and Occult New Age religion and mysticism throughout this time. There’s a conclusive argument that involves a “corporate body under old covenant age spiritual death” that “gets resurrected” as a “corporate body under new covenant age spiritual life”. The founder of this cult realized that “ALL PEOPLE IN ADAM’S DEATH IN A CORPORATE BODY” were the beneficiaries of this “corporate body getting raised as the corporate body of Christ”. Max King took on a Universal Reconciliation work of Christ with his “40 year Atonement and Resurrection process”. If “old covenant age and world spiritual death” was “completely destroyed” in AD 70 when “The New Heaven and Earth or the New Covenantal Age and World” began, then nobody could possible be found in that “old covenant age and world corporate body of Adam” that was “saved and resurrected” in AD 70 in “The New Covenantal Age and World”. What does somebody need to be saved out from today? Who could possibly be “in the old covenantal age and world” where “old covenantal spiritual death” once took place? So, what you’re obviously ignorant about is that Don Preston, Ed Stevens, and William Bell are the top dogs in this cult. Don Preston wrote over 30 books on the topic of “Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism” – the very cult that you and Zach Davis belong to. Somebody’s denominational ties don’t matter at all. These are all an illusion anyway. Don’s comments DIRECTLY affect you! He’s been pushing Covenant Eschatology for 35 years! You and Zach have been pushing it for a few years. I’ve been studying the Max King Cult for 25 years! I’m born again by God for 40 years. I’ve been intensely studying cults for 35 years! I genuinely know how cults operate at the most base level and the most outward level – and everything in between. Don Preston – again, the top teacher in this cult – teaches that the false Christ of Covenant Eschatology “died spiritually”, and this “spiritual alienation death” is “Christ’s substitutionary death”. This is as heretical as you’ll ever find! And here’s the kicker, Zach Davis has been mentored by Don Preston – and Zach STILL gets together with Don Preston on videos. See, Zach has to pay his dues in order to rise in this cult. It’s William Bell and Don Preston who have ultimate authority in this cult. Zach is hungry, but he’s got to jump through all kinds of hoops first. And the very sad part is the demonic (literal evil demonic spirits) is very heavily involved in this cult. The whole “Christ came in metaphoric and mystical ways” opens the doors to the demonic. And of course, Zach and others teach that “Satan” in the New Testament was “first century Israelite leadership in opposition to Christ”. This is the stuff that cults are made of. It’s all about redefinitions of theological terms. And I 100% know that somebody like you who has fully chomped down on the bait will never be convinced by a comment like this. You already adopted “the Max King framework”. And yes, this is a term that was very affectionately used by these cult members many years ago. The Max King framework is NOT in the Bible! See, Don Preston tried to answer, “What did the alive saints EXPERIENCE at the coming of Christ and the promised change to immortality?” The top teacher in this cult for 35 years said, “I’m real sure there was dancing and jumping for joy!” Wow! THAT is the how the alive saints experienced the promised change to immortality and incorruption at the promised end time coming and presence of Jesus Christ! Unless your buddy Zach has a better answer in his climb to the top that he’s hungry for! Let me know.
What you are in fear of (sadly) is the Truth. I’m the one being attacked here. I’m exposing blatant heresy and blasphemy. And people are bummed out that such blatant exposing is happening. The “star child” is not all he’s cracked up to be. I exposed plenty already about the basic heresies in “Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism”. I’m 100% sure that Paul and other New Testament Christians would do the same thing I’m doing. It’s not mean-spirited to do so. It THE RIGHT THING to do. But people want heresy and blasphemy more than they want truth talked about and heresy exposed. It’s not inflammatory to say that Zach is leading people astray. It’s the truth. He’s got the confidence trick game down, but this game does not make somebody a genuine Christian – quite the opposite. There can’t be guessing your way to the top here – which Zach does a lot of. I messaged Zach about two years ago, and I was very gentle in warning him about the “corporate body view Resurrection” he adopted. We didn’t interact, he went to a weekend conference with Don Preston and some others, and he blocked me that weekend. He doesn’t want to deal with the truth. He wants to take the Max King framework and build his own spin on this framework. I’ve been studying the Max King Cult for 25 years. I warning people about how bad it is. I know what it’s like when you deal with persecution for trying to warn people. It’s the story of my life. I got fired from jobs for doing it, and more. Zach is on his way to a profound fall. This I know for sure. I’ve watched other young men who joined this cult have massive falls. They deconstructed out of Christianity. They lost being a pastor. They lost their wives. They lost so much. And some have went on to write books on being an Atheist, while some have started very successful YouTube channels on Mythology and blaspheming the God of the Bible. One has given up on a lifetime of being an Assemblies of God member and licensed minister. The carnage out from this cult is staggering, and it will only grow worse. Don Preston and William Bell needed Zach Davis so bad. Don is pouring himself into Zach – in the same way that Max King poured himself into Don Preston, William Bell, and Ed Stevens. Listen very carefully… This cult has a false Jesus Christ and a false gospel. I know Zach will try his best to shape and mold Max Kingism into a palatable package. But when somebody builds on a corrupt foundation and framework, there’s no life. It’s dead. It may appear alive. But looks are deceiving. I’m trying to help you. But you hate what I’m saying. Maybe the day will come where you genuinely see what I”m saying here.
The answer should be short and sweet for anybody who very firmly believes that the promised end time coming, appearing, arriving, and presence of Jesus Christ took place in the first century! It’s not a trick question. I’ve been asking this for a long time, and nobody in the Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism cult want to go on record with a short and sweet answer about the magnificent colossal stupendous extraordinary amazing glorious event known as the second coming and presence of the Lord Jesus Christ at his descending from Heaven at the last trumpet! You kinda think the top teachers would have this one down by now?? The top teacher in this cult, Don Preston, says that the alive saints were metaphorically caught up (harpazo) into the metaphoric air to metaphorically meet (apantesis) Christ in order to metaphorically escort the Presence of Christ down”! Wow! At least he tried! These alive saints never truly left the Earth – it’s was all just mystical and metaphoric. And then they somehow experienced a promised change to immortality and incorruption. See, none of this can be REASONABLY explained if “Christ metaphorically came in the form of an army, or fire, or Titus, or a temple destruction, or whatever other metaphoric means”. EVERYTHING becomes myth, metaphor, allegory, symbolism, hyperbole, and poetry – which is why Zach and others have adopted Jeff Vaughn and Tim Martin’s “Covenant Creation”. If only you guys could see that EVERYTHING gets REDEFINED to make the Max King framework be presented as truth. The magnificent amazing wondrous glorious promised eschatological coming, arriving, appearing, and presence of Christ was…… Wait for it………… Metaphoric in AD 70.
(added comment that was my first one on this discussed post)
You’re supporting and promoting a false teacher, a wolf in sheepskin. Zach Davis is slick at what he’s saying. He’s sucking people into his brand of what’s called “Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism”. This cult was started by a guy named Max King in 1971. Zach Davis is super proud and bold to be a cult teacher in this cult. Zach teaches that “a corporate body of Adam” was “resurrected in the Resurrection in AD 70” as “the corporate body of Christ”. This cult teaches that a mystical Christ came, appeared, and arrived in his presence in AD 70. This “corporate body” went from being “in spiritual alienation old covenant age death” to “being raised into” what they say is “spiritual new covenant age life” in AD 70. This “corporate body” is allegedly “the Church” as “the New Temple” and “New Jerusalem” that “came down from God out of Heaven in AD 70”. They have a MYSTICAL CHRIST that you can encounter his Presence if you “get in the corporate body” they teach was “raised in AD 70”. In this “New Jerusalem” city that they say is here right now in “the new covenant age and world” that they say began in AD 70, you can experience the Christ and his Presence, glory, perfection, immortality, and incorruption. THIS IS THE SAME AS TRANSCENDENTALISM – like is seen in Eastern Mysticism. It’s all about mental ascension and transcendence through special esoteric wisdom. It’s a form of Gnosticism. Their “Christ” is a mystical Christ who “appeared” and “came back” in AD 70 with his mystical Presence. Like the Gnostics of the first century, they believe that the biological physical flesh body has nothing to do with how they define “exclusive spiritual death” with Adam. And they also say that the Creation account in Genesis now means “an account of the creation of covenant and a covenant people”, with there being possibly millions or billions of people on Earth before Adam. Zach may “look the part”. He was a Baptist pastor, so he knows how to “play the part”. But he’s leading people astray, just like his mentor Don Preston. Don Preston does not even believe that people today can be baptized and indwelt with the Holy Spirit anymore – he says this ended in AD 70. This is all about sucking people into a cult. Zach Davis will find out the hard way that he’s been deceiving people. Be warned.
