The following is my response in the comment section for a video I recently made…

Of course God is sovereign. Evil spirits (demons) are real, and this doesn’t change humans being responsible. God hardens hearts, and he softens hearts. When the disciples that Jesus sent out returned, they were astonished that demons were made to be in subjection to them. There are so many examples of literal evil spirits in the New Testament, and it blows my mind that people say, “Oh that kind of stuff was just for the first century” or “that was just Israelite leadership in rebellion against God”. In my life, I have personal experience with demons. And, even now in the world, it’s so easy to discern that people are possessed. I get it that people who have never had experience with demons will say, “He’s nuts! There’s no demons today!” But there are people today who talk about these things openly, and those who are deep into the Occult know what’s going on. With everything in the demonic realm that goes on (and it’s a lot), how can people say, “There’s no demons today”? That in and of itself is a huge deception! There is so much that a person can do that opens the doors to the demonic, where they literally let in demons. Look at Kirk Cameron recently saying that there is no eternal conscious torment for a person in the Lake of Fire. He’s a popular guy, and he’s now “being used” to continue to trick people into believing there’s no ongoing judgment for a person in their afterlife. This is an agenda, and not just some famous TV and Hollywood guy who is randomly going about sharing his opinion on what the Lake of Fire is. This is not all just the power of man’s mind, will, and emotions. The demonic today is right out in the open, manifesting in many many ways. And then there’s people like you and others who say, “No, it’s not demons, it’s just man in his own mind and in his own power doing all these things.” One doesn’t need to know that they’re opening the doors to the demonic in order for demons to come into that person. Drugs and alcohol are a great example. The deeper one gets into drugs and alcohol, the deeper the manifesting becomes. People can literally lose their minds. They become possessed. They become “purchased” and “owned” and made to a “possession” of evil spirits. The same possession can take place because of a lust for power, fame, influence, control, and money. One opens the doors to the demonic by all kinds of means. Of course Jesus sees all of this going on. Jesus even sets people free from being possessed and oppressed all the time. The fact that demons are real today doesn’t change man’s responsibility. Nothing changed from the first century until now, and to say demons no longer exist is actually trickery from demons! If a deceived group of people are taught from a false teacher that evil demonic spirits are not real today, this group of people will go about believing this – and they will mock those who have literal experience with the demonic – while feeling superior in knowledge to those they’re mocking and calling names. Not only are demons real, casting out demons from somebody is real. Imaging telling the masses, “You don’t need any demons cast out of you, because demons are not even real!” And everybody cruises along in this mass delusion.
