I watched a video by Mike Sullivan, a popular false teacher in the Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism Cult. He reviewed a recent discussion between Gary DeMar and Doug Wilson.
Frankly, it’s tough for me to watch Mike Sullivan, because he’s such an arrogant prick who’s into himself far too much. These guys think they are the top scholars and theologians in the world with their special esoteric teachings, and the truth is that they’re leading people astray and shipwrecking the faith of people. I’m convinced you’ve got to be a narcissist to be a false teacher in this cult. There’s so much carnage out from “Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism”, or “Max Kingism”.
In the video, Mike really pushes one of Max King’s central false teachings in this cult called the “Corporate Body View”, or “CBV”.
Max King is the founder of this cult called “Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism” in 1971.
Max King actually coined the term “Covenant Eschatology”.
Mike Sullivan, Don Preston, William Bell, Zach Davis, and other cult members in this cult believe that there was a “corporate Church” that was “resurrected out from” a “dead carcass of old covenant Israel”.
What?!
This is how they define the eschatological (end times) Resurrection.
They center their definition of the Resurrection around the “resurrection of corporare Israel in AD 70” as the “corporate Church”.
Max King, the founder of this cult, was already pushing this “corporate resurrection of Israel in AD 70” in his first book that was published in 1971.
The radical false teaching involved here is that “the body of the Resurrection” that Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians 15 is a “corporate body”, meaning a “corporate body” made up of a group of people.
Paul asks in 1 Corinthians 15:35, “But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what BODY do they come?”
Mike Sullivan, Don Preston, William Bell, Zach Davis, and other cult members in this cult claim that this BODY is a “corporate body Israel” that was in need of “national resurrection” in AD 70 out from an alleged “old covenant age spiritual death”.
This alleged “corporate body resurrection” is a major theme when these false teachers write their articles, make their videos, write their books, etc.
There is no “corporate body resurrection” in the Bible whatsoever!
This is a major false doctrine that is leading people astray.
When Paul asks “With what BODY do they come?” in 1 Corinthians 15:35, he goes on to teach INDIVIDUAL personal bodies for each saint raised out from Sheol in the General Resurrection!
THIS IS A MAJOR DIFFERENCE WHEN DEFINING THE BODY OF THE RESURRECTION WHEN THE RESURRECTION TAKES PLACE!
Imagine asking these guys, “What personal body will I have when the Resurrection happens?”, and they must answer (according to their doctrine), “We have no idea because we use the body language in the Bible for our corporate body view, plus this corporate body resurrection already took place in AD 70, so we have no verses in the Bible at all that talk about individual personal bodies.”
Oh my!
Once somebody takes the “Corporate Body View” of “the body of the Resurrection” that this cult teaches, this needs to be consistently carried through EVERYWHERE else in the Bible, which then means SO MUCH in the Bible needs to get twisted around in order to prove this insane doctrine and hermeneutic!
And these guys are VERY PROUD of this false “CBV” teaching that Max King came up with in his “Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism”.
Mike Sullivan pointed out in the video that Ken Gentry and some other “Postmillennial Partial Preterists” are teaching this “corporate resurrection of national Israel in the first century”.
This is indeed “Max Kingism” that Ken Gentry is teaching, and this false idea involves a “progressive resurrecting or raising” of national Israel leading up to AD 70.
This is pushed as a “standing again” of national Israel as a “corporate body” that was “being raised and resurrected” for 40 years between the cross and AD 70 as “the corporate Church body” that was “finally resurrected” in AD 70!
Oh my! This is Max King’s “corporate body view” of “the body of the Resurrection”!
When it comes to Ken Gentry, Gary DeMar, Doug Wilson, James Jordan, Jeff Durbin, and other “Postmillennial Partial Preterists”, THEY ARE ALREADY TEACHING MAX KING’S “COVENANT ESCHATOLOGY FULL PRETERISM”!
They’re trying their best to claim that they’re not, but they really are, and it’s really pissing off Mike Sullivan and other prideful cult members in the Max King Cult!
Mike Sullivan wants the credit, as he often said in the video, “I was the first one to blah blah blah!”
All of these false teachers like Mike Sullivan, Don Preston, William Bell, and Zach Davis are pushing what Max King came up with in 1971, but they are now pissed off that these “bigger theologians” like Ken Gentry and Gary DeMar are now stealing Max King’s false teachings and taking credit for it!
The hypocrisy is super evident!
Lastly, Mike Sullivan feigned some righteous indignation by saying that it really sucks when these guys avoid you, don’t answer you, and block you, but guess who blocked me because he didn’t want to deal with me challenging him? Yep! Mike Sullivan! …and Don Preston, William Bell, Zach Davis, Gary DeMar, Jeff Durbin, and others! The hypocrisy surely runs deep in these cowards!
