An update on Gary DeMar from American Vision and his desire to bring a lawsuit against me.
After never hearing back for the past two weeks from Gary DeMar’s lead pastor, David Hall, at his Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) church, and after finding out from the Stated Clerk of the Presbytery for Gary’s church, Robby Baxter, that I should contact Marc Harrington, the Clerk of the Session at Gary’s church (sort of the head elder), I wrote a rather lengthy email to Marc and sent it out yesterday (9/16/25). I carbon copied both David Hall and Robby Baxter.
I name names. I deal with doctrine, theology, and belief. And I let them know that this is not going away.
I also let them know that I will not cower in fear under the threat of a lawsuit from a bully or anything else.
Gary DeMar, like other pop-teachers, church leaders, and influencers, portrays himself a certain way to the public where the outside of the cup is clean, but there is a wickedness, vileness, filthiness, ugliness, and hatred inside. And, like others, he gets his fans and followers to join in with this ugliness and hatred. But it’s okay when somebody popular like Gary DeMar judges and does it! But when your a piece of dung like me in the system and program, you have no right to judge and expose things! If you have the degrees, the successful 501c3 business, and you’re a “leader” in the system and program, it’s okay if you judge away and get your followers and disciples to take on your belief and idealism. But if you’re unlearned and vulgar (common, lowly) like me in the system and program, you are worthy of a hit piece, smear campaign, and cancel culture in order to put you in your place.
Enough is enough with these narcissistic ego-driven churchy celebrities who must metaphorically murder and cancel those who expose them for who they really are.
I’m not going to let this go, especially since Gary DeMar has now joined rank with the evil false teachers in the Max King Cult, Covenant Eschatology Full Preterism.
The implications here concerning eschatological doctrine go as far as scrutinizing what Doug Wilson, Ken Gentry, Jeff Durbin, and other “New Postmillennialists” teach. They call themselves “Orthodox Preterists”, which is simply “Partial Preterism”. It is all simply Dominionism, Theonomy, and Christian Reconstructionism in one form of another.
Gary DeMar has (purposefully?) blurred the lines between Partial Preterism and Full Preterism, and he’s now dancing the dance with one foot in Partial Preterism and one foot in Full Preterism. AND HE 100% FULLY KNOWS THIS, EVEN AS HE IS NOT BEING HONEST ABOUT EVERYTHING!
All of the murky water surrounding both Partial Preterism and Full Preterism needs to be cleared up. The games these pop-teachers are playing concerning eschatology need to be fully exposed.
In my email that I sent yesterday, I let the three men in leadership in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) know that if I don’t hear back in one week, I’ll take that as them not wanting to deal with me (even though Gary DeMar suggested that I get in touch with his church leadership). I’ll keep you updated.
