And to think that there are people who want “biblical ethics” in secular government in the form of the law of Moses (the Mosaic covenant/law)! It’s usually called “The Moral Law” or the “Decalogue” (the Ten Commandments) by these Postmillennial, Theonomy, and Christian Reconstruction type of people who have no clue what they’re pushing for!

Wherever you lay down the law, the trespass (sin) ALWAYS increases! It’s the very nature of the law!

Oh yeah! By the way! The law was only ever for the nation of Old Testament Israel, and it was fulfilled, laid aside, done away with, and legally ended on the cross in the biological blood and body sacrifice of Jesus! DONE! FINISHED! ABROGATED! NULLIFIED! MADE OBSOLETE! CANCELLED! ALL ON THE CROSS IN AD 31!

Hmmm! Yet people still want to impose the law that was only ever for Israel of the Old Testament!

How sad that people don’t even have a clue what “where the law is, the trespass will increase” means!

If you want to see ANYBODY get put under the Mosaic law, you are 100% against Jesus and why he died on the cross. There is NO REASON WHATSOEVER that anybody should ever be put under the law! The law WAS the schoolmaster for Israel of the Old Testament – until the cross took place in AD 31, and therefore faith in Jesus and his work on the cross. THAT’S what needs to be preached and taught! The law is not anybody’s schoolmaster today! It would be sadistic to want to put somebody under the law for any reason – for then you are wanting trespasses and sins to increase in this person or persons. The idea of “Well, they’ll come to know their need for Jesus if you give them the law first” is pure sadism and abuse!

Very sadly, SO MANY LOVE LIVING UNDER THE LAW with its codes, regulations, precepts, and rules! People love performing under the law, because they can measure how “good” or “bad” they’re doing at any given moment. They have no clue how ugly and sinful they truly are while being under the performance trap! They think and believe they’re “measuring up” according to the law standards. Their ugliness and sins stay trapped and hidden under the disguise of the outward form of obeying the law.

But God looks upon the heart, and not the performance. People who push the law in any capacity are not set free. Freedom and liberty in Jesus is sort of a “no man’s land” and “free for all” prospect for people who are bound by the law. It’s hard to fathom what a walk in the Holy Spirit is all about for somebody who’s bound by the law.

It’s kinda crazy, but the ones who are bound by the law will think and believe that free-spirited true Christians who truly know a walk in the Holy Spirit are bound by sin, circumstances, etc. They can’t fathom how somebody can live without the codes, programs, formulas, regulations, rules, etc.

And something important to consider is that “being bound by law” can come in various forms and methods! It’s not always just the law of Moses. A person, family, job, church, community, cult – whatever or whoever it may be – can erect a system, program, and framework that rivals the Mosaic covenant/law in commands, rules, regulations, precepts, structure, etc.

Familial (family) pride is very common as it concerns a program (“law”) filled with expected behavior within that family unit or structure. Be careful of breaking the rules! Imagine being hated and pushed out by your own family for not going along with “the law”.

THE LAW IS VERY VERY DEMANDING AND REPRESSIVE!

AND IT WILL KEEP YOU RADICALLY BOUND AS LONG AS YOU ARE UNDER IT!
